Role Play Toy Manufacturer

Role play sets in wood: shops, tool benches, doctor and vet kits, and the accessories that make them work, produced in our own factory in Yunhe, Zhejiang.

What we make in the role play line

Role play is the category that sells a child a job: a shop to run, a bench to work at, a patient to look after. Each set is judged on whether the props actually do something.

  • Shop and market sets — a counter, a canopy, shelves and price tags.
  • Tool benches (TS3500) — a bench with a vice, a saw, a hammer and a set of fixings that fit the drilled holes.
  • Doctor and vet kits (TS3501) — a case, instruments and a card for the appointment.
  • Mixed role play sets (TS3502) — accessories and loose parts that extend a set already in the range.

The range sits in the role play toys category, alongside play kitchens and play food.

The props have to work, or the set does not sell twice

A role play set is bought once and then either extended or replaced. What decides that is whether the moving parts still move after a year: a saw that no longer fits its slot, or a vice that no longer turns, is the end of the toy.

  • Tolerances. Tools and fixings are cut to the drilled holes rather than to a nominal size.
  • Moving parts. Hinges, wheels and screw threads are chosen for the panel thickness they sit in.
  • Loose parts. Counted per set and packed in a way that survives shipping without mixing between cartons.

Safety and age grading

Role play sets usually sell from three years, which moves the emphasis away from small parts and onto mechanics, edges and coating.

  • Mechanical hazards. Hinges, slots and folding parts are checked for crushing and shear points.
  • Small parts. Any set sold under three years is checked against the small-parts cylinder, accessory by accessory.
  • Edges and coating. Panel edges are rounded or banded, and the water-based paint is verified against the EN71-3 migration limits.
  • Documents. EN71 reports for the EU and ASTM F963 reports with CPC paperwork for the US, issued per item.

Sampling and ordering

Most role play projects start from an existing set with new props, new artwork or a different price point, which keeps sampling cheap. Custom sampling takes about 10 days and production runs around 30 days after confirmation. In-stock sets start at 50 pieces per item.

Frequently asked questions

Can you develop a role play set from our own concept?

Yes. Concept, props, panel layout and packaging can all follow your brief; custom projects are quoted per product because the minimum depends on tooling and customisation.

What age are role play sets normally sold at?

Most are sold from three years, which puts the emphasis on mechanical hazards, edges and coating rather than on the small-parts test.

Do the tools and fixings fit together properly?

Yes. Tools and fixings are cut to the drilled holes rather than to a nominal size, which is what stops a set failing in use.

What is the MOQ?

In-stock sets start at 50 pieces per item; OEM and private-label sets are quoted per product.

Can the set be packed as a gift item?

Yes. A boxed version with a printed insert and your artwork is available, as well as the standard flat-packed export carton.

Can role play sets ship with a play kitchen order?

Yes. Mixed orders can be consolidated into one shipment, so a first range can combine several categories.
