Private label buyers start from our existing moulds, which removes tooling cost and shortens the route to shelf. The programme is built around one brand and one retail presentation.
It suits importers, retail chains and brand owners who want their own name on the product and on the packaging without paying for a new design from zero.
Range selection
Choose from our stock wooden toys: balance bikes, puzzles, building blocks, Montessori sets, chess and board games, play kitchens, drawing boards, doll houses, role play sets, cutting play food, kids furniture and playground items. We help narrow the list to a range that fits your price points and age bands.
The range we hold runs across 19 categories and around 78 items in production, so most private label programmes start with 4 to 8 items that share a size, a material and a price band rather than a single hero product. That is what makes shelf presentation and reordering manageable. For each shortlisted item we confirm the minimum order, the sample time and the price at your target quantity.
Branding
Your name goes on the item by laser engraving, silk-screen print, heat transfer or a printed label, chosen to suit the surface and the finish. Colour matching is done against your brand reference so the product and the packaging agree.
Retail packaging is produced in your own artwork: colour box, gift box, display carton and barcode or FNSKU labelling. Send artwork as an editable file with a 3 mm bleed and the barcode as a vector; we return a digital proof and then a physical pre-production packing sample before the run starts.
Compliance
Every private label item is tested to EN71 (EU) or ASTM F963 (US) with the report issued in your brand name, and the CE marking and importer details are printed on the packaging for your market. BSCI and FSC documentation is available.
Because the report is issued for the exact item and the exact packaging you will sell, the age warning, the small-parts statement and the importer block on the box have to be fixed before testing, not after. We check those details with you at the artwork stage so testing is not repeated because a label changed.
Quantities and timelines
For stock items the minimum order is 50 pieces per item. Custom sampling takes about 10 days and a typical production cycle is around 30 days after order confirmation. In-stock samples are usually dispatched within 48 hours. Sample fees are charged and credited back once your order for that item reaches 1,000 pieces.
Once an item carries your brand and your packaging, repeat orders run on the same automatic woodworking and painting lines as the first shipment, which is what keeps colour, finish and carton print consistent between runs.
Private label or OEM: which one fits
- Private label - existing mould, your brand and your packaging. No tooling cost, sampling from the stock item, shortest route to shelf.
- OEM - a new design built to your drawing or reference. Development and tooling time apply, and the design becomes yours.
- Most first orders start with private label and move to OEM once one item has sold and you know which size and price band works.
A worked private label timeline
- Week 1 - range shortlist agreed, minimums and prices confirmed item by item.
- Week 1 to 2 - in-stock samples dispatched, usually within 48 hours of confirmation.
- Week 2 - artwork and barcode files received, digital proof returned.
- Week 3 - pre-production packing sample approved, brand position fixed.
- Week 3 to 4 - item submitted for EN71 or ASTM F963 testing in your brand name.
- Week 5 - bulk order confirmed and production scheduled, around 30 days.
- Week 9 - final inspection against the approved sample, goods packed and released.
What we need from you
- The item list, with the quantity you expect for the first order and for the repeat.
- Your brand reference, so finish and packaging colour can be matched.
- Artwork as an editable file, with the barcode as a vector and 3 mm bleed.
- The age band and the destination market, because both decide the testing file and the warnings printed on the box.
- The target retail price, so we can tell you which items fit the price band before sampling starts.
Packaging options
Standard packing is an export carton with an inner partition where the item needs one. Above that we quote: printed colour box, gift box, display carton for shelf or counter, hang tag, barcode or FNSKU label, and master carton marks with your item code and quantity. A pre-production packing sample is made before the run, so the box on the shelf is the box you approved.
What moves the price
Four things change the quoted price more than anything else: the number of print colours on the packaging, whether the item is packed in a colour box or a plain carton, how many items you take per reference, and whether the branding is applied by laser, silk screen or a printed label. Quoting all four at once is why we ask for the item list, the quantity and the artwork before giving a final price rather than a range.
