Private Label Wooden Toys
Retail-ready wooden toys under your own brand
Private label is the fastest way for a retailer, distributor or brand to add wooden toys to its range without owning a factory: the product is manufactured and packed under your brand, with your packaging, your barcode and your labelling.
We produce wooden toys for buyers who sell under their own name in Europe, North America and Oceania. Everything that carries your brand is prepared here, inspected against your approved sample, and packed so it can go straight onto a shelf or into a warehouse.
Private label compared with OEM
The two are often confused. In practice:
| Private label | OEM | |
|---|---|---|
| What changes | Branding, packaging and labelling | The product itself — design, size, construction |
| Starting point | An item from our range, produced under your brand | A drawing, sample or specification you supply |
| Typical use | Building a branded range quickly | Creating a product that does not exist yet |
| Cost driver | Packaging and print quantity | Development, tooling and sample rounds |
Many projects combine the two: catalogue items for the bulk of the range, plus one or two OEM items to differentiate it. See OEM wooden toys for the custom side.
What goes on a private-label wooden toy
- Your brand. Logo printed or engraved on the product where the design allows.
- Retail packaging. Colour box, window box or display carton with your artwork.
- Barcode. Your EAN/UPC, printed on the packaging or applied as a label.
- Age marking and warnings. Age suitability and the safety warnings required by the destination market.
- Manufacturer and importer details. EU rules require the manufacturer's name and address — and, for imported goods, the importer's. We supply our details in the form your market requires.
- Batch or production code. Traceability, which is also what a retailer's compliance team will ask for.
- Instruction leaflet. Assembly or play instructions where the product needs them.
Packaging options
Standard export cartons are the cheapest way to ship. Retail packaging costs more because it is printed to your artwork and ordered in print quantities, so the practical question is always how many units you expect to sell in the first run: we will tell you which packaging route makes sense at your volume, and where a plain carton plus a printed label achieves the same result for less.
Compliance for a branded product
Selling under your own brand does not change the safety requirements — it changes who is responsible for them. Your product still has to comply with EN71 and carry CE marking in the EU, or comply with ASTM F963 and be covered by a Children Product Certificate in the United States. We produce to those standards and can supply the test reports and certification documents that cover the items you order; the certificates we can share publicly are listed on the toy safety standards page.
How to start a private-label range
- Choose the items you want from the range — or send us the list of products you plan to sell.
- Tell us your target market, expected volumes and packaging idea.
- We quote, and make a pre-production sample in your packaging for approval.
- Production runs to the approved sample, typically around 30 days after order confirmation.

Frequently asked questions
What is the difference between private label and OEM?
Private label changes the branding, packaging and labelling on a product we already make. OEM changes the product itself — design, size or construction — to your specification.
Can you print our logo on the product?
Yes, where the design allows it — printed or laser engraved. We confirm the placement on the pre-production sample.
Do you apply our barcode?
Yes. Your EAN or UPC can be printed on the packaging or applied as a label, and we handle the carton marks as instructed.
Who is responsible for CE marking and labelling?
Selling under your own brand makes you the responsible economic operator, but we produce to EN71 and ASTM F963 and supply the test reports, declarations and labelling content your market requires.
