What we make
We quote component by component, so a buyer can order one replacement piece, a board plus playing pieces, or a complete boxed game. With every brief we review the drawing or sample, agree the exact component specification, and confirm the cutting, finishing, assembly and packing route in our own woodworking, finishing and packing departments.
Custom wooden game boards
Flat or folding boards for chess, checkers, mancala and original game layouts. Direct printed, laminated or inlaid surfaces; magnetic closures and felt-lined storage available.
Custom wooden meeples and game pieces
Custom wooden meeples are cut and shaped to your outline, alongside pawns, discs, cubes, cylinders and other shaped markers. Dimensions, profile, edge treatment and colour are produced to an approved drawing or sample.
Custom wooden game tiles and tokens
Custom wooden game tiles can be sized and matched to a board, then printed, engraved or left in a natural finish. We also produce dominoes, memory tiles, counters, score pegs and custom-shaped tokens.
Wooden board game insert organizer

CNC cut wooden game components

Packing, carton protection and shipping fit
The packed game has to survive handling after the insert has left the sample table. We quote the component set together with its unit protection, inner packing, master carton and pallet or container plan, then check the finished weight and carton fit against the approved sample.
- Unit protection. Bagging, tissue, corner protection or a fitted inner tray is selected for the component finish and the amount of movement inside the retail box.
- Mixed sets. Bag or compartment labels should match the packing list so the correct boards, cards and player sets can be checked without opening every unit.
- Master carton. Quantity per carton, internal dividers, gross weight, carton size and shipping marks are confirmed after the first packed sample.
- Moisture and transit. Wooden components and printed boards need suitable inner protection and dry carton storage; the exact method follows the finish, route and shipping time.
- Loading plan. A changed insert height can change the retail box, master carton, carton quantity and container loading even when the insert footprint stays the same.
Before production, approve one packed unit and one master carton. Check the box closes, the insert stays in position, the unit fits the carton without forcing and the shipping marks identify the correct version. From drawing to production
- Send the brief. A technical drawing, 3D file, artwork or physical reference sample, plus dimensions, target quantity, destination market and age grade.
- Review and quote. We confirm material, construction, finish, decoration, packaging, sampling route and minimum order for the project.
- Approve the sample. Custom sampling takes about 10 days. Check size, colour, print, function, piece count and packing before volume production.
- Produce the order. Production usually runs around 30 days after order confirmation, subject to complexity, material and quantity.
- Inspect and document. We check dimensions, appearance, function, piece count and cartons, and issue the test reports that cover the exact item ordered where required.
One factory for the board, the pieces and the box. Our 6,000 m2 plant in Yunhe, Zhejiang has been making wooden toys and games since 2007. Woodworking, finishing, assembly and packing stay under one roof, so a change to one component does not have to pass through a third party. We already produce chess, mancala, solitaire, cribbage and memory games for buyers in Europe, North America and Oceania.
Compliance and age grading
A tabletop game can be sold to children, families, hobby players or adult gift buyers, and the age grade changes the compliance route. We produce to the agreed position rather than assuming every wooden game is treated the same way.
- Children's games. Components intended for children are made to the agreed EN71 requirements for the EU or ASTM F963 requirements for the United States, with CPSIA and Children's Product Certificate documentation for the US where applicable.
- Adult and collector games. A game marketed for older players may sit outside toy rules, but the label, listing and photographs still need to support that position. Small parts, magnets and coatings still require a risk assessment.
- Magnets and small parts. Magnetic closures, travel sets and loose pieces are secured and assessed for the age grade and market before production.
- Printed and coated surfaces. Inks, paints and lacquers are checked against the limits that apply to the exact item and market. Reports cover the item ordered, not a generic factory claim.

In-stock game items start at 50 pieces per item. Custom components are quoted per product because the minimum depends on size, material, decoration and quantity. Send your target volume and we will confirm what is workable.
