Where the factory is

Our plant sits at 161 Zhongshan West Road, Yunhe, Lishui, Zhejiang, China. Yunhe is a small county with an unusual concentration of wooden toy production, which means the skilled labour, the wood supply and the sub-suppliers for hardware and packaging are all in one place.

That matters commercially: when a buyer asks for a change late in a production run, the parts and the people needed to make it happen are minutes away, not on another continent.

What the plant contains

The factory is a 6,000 m2 standardised production plant built around two automatic lines — woodworking and painting — with the finishing, assembly, inspection and packing stations arranged around them.

• Woodworking. Cutting, shaping and edge rounding, so parts are consistent from the first unit to the last.
• Painting. An automatic painting line using eco-friendly water-based paint that is formulated for EN71-3 migration limits.
• Assembly. Sub-assembly of moving parts, wheels, hardware and fixings.
• Inspection. In-line checks plus a final check against the approved pre-production sample.
• Packing. Export cartons, or retail-ready packaging for private-label orders.

Using automatic lines rather than hand-only production is what makes repeat orders repeatable: the second shipment looks like the first one.

How a wooden toy is made here

1. Material selection. Wood is chosen for the product — species, grain, moisture content and thickness — because the wrong blank shows up as warping or cracking after painting.
2. Cutting and shaping. Components are cut and shaped to the drawing, with edge rounding on the parts a child will handle.
3. Sanding. Surfaces and edges are finished before any paint is applied.
4. Painting and drying. Colour is applied on the automatic line, then dried and checked for coverage and adhesion.
5. Assembly. Parts, wheels, fixings and printed components are assembled and function-checked.
6. Inspection and packing. Finished goods are checked against the approved sample, then packed and marked for shipment.

Quality control

Quality is checked at three points rather than once at the end: incoming material, in-line during production, and a final inspection against the approved sample before packing. Because we produce to EN71 (EU) and ASTM F963 (US) requirements, the checks cover the physical and mechanical points that testing laboratories look at — small parts, sharp edges, surface finish and paint adhesion.

Third-party inspection before shipment can be arranged on request if your compliance team requires it.

Visiting the factory

Buyers are welcome to visit. Send us your travel dates and we will arrange the visit and, if useful, a run through the production lines for the items you are considering. If travelling is not practical, we can arrange a live video tour instead — a walk through the plant on a call is usually enough to settle the questions a catalogue photo cannot answer.
