Play Kitchen Manufacturer
Play kitchens and the accessories that go with them: 12 catalogue items, produced on our own line in Yunhe, Zhejiang, and adapted to your own artwork and packaging.
What we make in the play kitchen line
A play kitchen is a flat-pack furniture project more than a toy project, and it is produced as one: panel cutting, edge treatment, drilling, then paint and hardware.
- Counter and sink units — single and double units with tap, sink bowl and oven or cupboard doors.
- Washing machine and appliance units (TS3003) — a drum door and control panel that survive being opened and closed for years.
- Accessories — pots, pans, play food and utensils that ship inside the same carton.
- Combined sets — kitchen plus market stall or shop, which sell as one gift item.
The whole range sits in the wooden play kitchens category, and accessory sets such as cutting play food are made in the same plant.

Flat-pack, freight and the cost of air
Play kitchens are bulky, so the single biggest lever on landed cost is how the item packs rather than what it costs to make. We design the carton and the panel layout together, and quote both flat-packed and pre-assembled so the difference is visible before you commit.
- Panel layout is optimised so that a container loads by carton volume, not by product count.
- Hardware, screws and illustrated assembly instructions are packed per carton.
- Retail-ready packaging and barcodes are produced to your artwork if the item goes straight to a shelf.
Safety and structure for a 3+ item
A play kitchen sold to children from three years old is tested for mechanical hazards, edges, coating and stability rather than for small parts.
- Stability. Tall units are tested for tip-over resistance, which is a design decision made before tooling.
- Edges and corners. Every panel edge is rounded or banded, and checked after painting.
- Coating. Water-based paint on the automatic line, verified against EN71-3 migration limits.
- Documents. EN71 for the EU, ASTM F963 with CPC paperwork for the US, both issued per item.
Import requirements by market are summarised in Wooden Toy Import Requirements: EU, UK, US, Canada, Australia.
Sampling a play kitchen before tooling
Because a kitchen is a panel product, a sample can usually be built from an existing counter as soon as the artwork is approved, which keeps the sampling cost down. Custom sampling takes about 10 days; production runs about 30 days after confirmation.
