What we make in the puzzle line
The puzzle range is built on the same three production steps as the rest of the factory: board cutting on the automatic line, printing, then hand finishing. Because the boards are cut and printed in-house, a change to the piece count or the artwork does not restart the whole process.
- Chunky peg puzzles — animal, vehicle and shape themes, one piece per slot, large knobs sized for a toddler grip.
- Tray and inset puzzles — a printed board with recessed shapes, from 4 pieces upwards.
- Jigsaw puzzles — 12, 24 and 48 piece sets in a printed box.
- Magnetic folding puzzles (TS8010) — a folding board with magnetic pieces, made for travel and for retail display.
- Strip puzzles (TS8000) — vertical strips that assemble into one picture, a common first puzzle for 2-year-olds.

Custom puzzles: what we need from you
Most puzzle projects are not a new invention, they are an existing board with your artwork, your piece count and your box. That is the cheapest and fastest route, and it is how most of our OEM puzzle orders start.
- The finished size of the board and the number of pieces.
- Artwork in vector or high-resolution file, with the colour reference you expect.
- The age grade you will sell it under, because that decides the small-parts test and the warning text on the box.
- Packaging: printed box, shrink wrap, display carton, or plain export carton for a private-label launch.
Where a customer wants a genuinely new shape, we quote tooling separately so you can see what is paid once and what is paid per unit.
Puzzle safety: what the tests actually look at
A puzzle for a child under three is judged mainly on small parts, edges and surface coating.
- Small parts. A piece that fits entirely inside the small-parts cylinder cannot be sold to under-threes. This is why chunky peg puzzles use oversized pieces.
- Edges and points. Sanding runs to two or three rounds depending on the item, and cut edges are checked after printing rather than before.
- Surface coating. Water-based paint formulated for the EN71-3 migration limits is applied on the automatic painting line.
- Documentation. EN71 test reports for the EU, and ASTM F963 reports with CPC paperwork for the US, are issued per item and per material combination.

Ordering, sampling and lead time
In-stock puzzles start at 50 pieces per item, which is low enough to test a range before committing to volume. A custom puzzle usually goes: artwork review, sample in about 10 days, approval, then production around 30 days after confirmation.
Mixed orders can be consolidated into one shipment, so a first order can combine several puzzle references with other items from the catalogue.
