Solutions by Buyer Type
A wooden toy order looks different depending on who is placing it. A brand needs development support, a retailer needs compliance paperwork, an Amazon seller needs labelling and fast reorders. These are the six routes we work with.
How the six routes differ
The product is often similar; what changes is the paperwork, the packaging and the point at which the order becomes urgent.
- Brands buy development as much as production. The question is usually who owns the design, how many sample rounds it takes and when tooling has to be committed.
- Retail chains buy reliability. The order has to match the approved sample every time, and the compliance file has to be ready before the first delivery date.
- Marketplace sellers buy speed. Reorders, labelling and the certificate your platform requests matter more than the last percentage point of unit price.
- Crowdfunding campaigns buy flexibility. The design often changes during the campaign, and the first production run is usually smaller than a normal minimum.
- Institutions buy durability and documentation, because a classroom order has to survive daily use and satisfy a procurement process.
- Promotional buyers buy dates. The unit is often simple, and the deadline is fixed by the event rather than by the production schedule.
The six routes we work with
| Toy brands | Own-brand and exclusive ranges, where the work is design development, tooling and a product file that stands up in your market. |
|---|---|
| Retail chains | Volume programmes where the work is compliance documentation, retail-ready packaging and consistency across repeat orders. |
| Amazon and marketplace sellers | Orders where the work is FNSKU and carton labelling, the certificate your marketplace asks for, and a reorder cycle that keeps stock in. |
| Crowdfunding projects | Campaigns where the work is sample iteration before the campaign, a pilot run afterwards and packaging that photographs well. |
| Schools and institutions | Bulk classroom orders where the work is durability, documentation for procurement and the ability to supply spare parts. |
| Promotional and corporate gifting | Branded runs where the work is engraving or printing, gift packaging and lead times that fit a campaign date. |
What every route has in common
Whichever route an order takes, the production facts are the same, and they are worth knowing before you request a quotation.
- Our own plant. 6,000 m2 in Yunhe, Zhejiang, with a team of 80 and wooden toy production since 2007. We are a factory, not a trading company.
- MOQ. 50 pieces per item for in-stock wooden toys. OEM, ODM and private-label items are quoted per product, because the minimum depends on how much is customised.
- Samples. Catalogue items are usually dispatched within 48 hours; custom sampling takes about 10 days.
- Lead time. Around 30 days after order confirmation, subject to complexity, material and quantity.
- Certification. EN71 for the EU; ASTM F963 with CPSIA and Children’s Product Certificate documentation for the US; FSC chain of custody (ESTS-COC-240650) and BSCI.
- Payment. 30 percent T/T deposit in advance with the balance before shipment; final terms are confirmed with your order.
Choosing the route that fits your order
If more than one applies, start with the one that decides your deadline. A brand that also sells on a marketplace usually needs the brand route for development and the marketplace route for labelling, and we plan both into the same production run.
- Toy brands — own-brand ranges, ODM development and exclusivity.
- Retail chains — volume programmes, retail-ready packaging and repeat-order consistency.
- Amazon and marketplace sellers — FNSKU labelling, certificates and fast reorders.
- Crowdfunding projects — sample iteration before the campaign and a pilot run after it.
- Schools and institutions — classroom durability, procurement documentation and spare parts.
- Promotional and corporate gifting — branding, gift packaging and campaign deadlines.

Frequently asked questions
Do you work with small brands as well as large retailers?
Yes. The in-stock range starts at 50 pieces per item, so a first order does not have to be a container. Custom and private-label items are quoted per product, because the minimum depends on how much is customised.
Can one order serve more than one route?
Yes. A brand that also sells on a marketplace is the most common example, and we build the development, the labelling and the certificate requirements into the same production plan.
Do you act as a trading company for any of these routes?
No. We are a factory with our own plant in Yunhe, Zhejiang, and every route above is produced on the same lines. That is also why customisation is quoted per item rather than from a catalogue price.
What do you need from us to quote?
The item or a reference, the quantity, the destination market and any branding or packaging requirement. From those four things we can confirm the applicable certification, the lead time and the price.
Which route is the fastest to start?
The marketplace and promotional routes usually move fastest, because the item is often already in the range and the work is labelling and packaging rather than development.
